The Magical Man in the Sky

You know that magical man in the sky that has 10 rules and if you break them you will burn in fiery pits for eternity? the same magical man who always seems to need more money? Well, needless to say, it is not a very convincing story. I think I am handling it rather well, you know, being a gay man, and considering that I will [apparently] automatically be sent to the fiery pits of hell! I mean, I go to mosque for the benefit of others and not at my own accord at all.

I think people should be apologizing to me. For being tremendous ass holes who are attempting to force me to pray to some god who would condemn me to being burned in fiery pits for eternity. no?

I have no problem accepting that other people may have different beliefs. I have a limit, where, when one attempts to push their beliefs on to me, it becomes intolerable. Despite this limit, I think I seem to tolerate it quite well indeed, although, I would prefer not to befriend anyone who has such beliefs [that i am a sinner due to my homosexuality and thus will suffer for eternity]. Does this mean I should de-friend my family, who seems to love making me go to mosque and pray to some magical man in the sky? Maybe that is a bit extreme, but then again, so is telling someone just because of their sexuality that they will suffer for all eternity.

Something to think about.

Ohhh Heinz…. What to do with you?

(London) Heinz Co. said viewer complaints prompted it to pull a British television advertisement for mayonnaise that showed two men kissing.

British gay rights group Stonewall said it was shocked that Heinz had yanked what it called an “innocuous” ad and urged gay consumers to boycott the company.

The ad, which was launched on British television just over a week ago and was meant to run for five weeks, was taken off the air Friday, Heinz said in a statement released Monday.

Time to boycott Heinz? Or maybe we should give them credit for trying, even though they have no backbone.

And it all begins again…

As soon as somethign ends, such as the ending of school or the paying of all my debts, it all begins again…

Monday I had my first day of summer school. Hist-430, the third reich, will be a challenging but excellent course. I already have 460 pages to read in less than a week! COIS-1010H, introduction to the digital world, is seemingly quite easy at the moment. We will see if I will learn anything new and weather my technical skills will be challenged.

I have also incurred a large amount of debt, from textbooks, new shoes, bus pass, food, toilet paper, etc. My bills are racking up!

As soon as I have some faith in humanity, I realize what a selfish and spiteful race we really are… Good luck to these brave young boys, who not have to deal only with homophobic children, but principles and teachers as well…

(image from here)

In September of 2007, the principal at Hollis F. Price Middle College High told teachers she wanted the names of all student couples, “hetero and homo,” because she wanted to monitor them personally to prevent students from engaging in public displays of affection.

The two students now represented by the ACLU, Andrew and Nicholas (who have asked that their last names not be revealed), were two A students who had been seeing each other for a short time and were attempting to keep their relationship quiet and private.

Although the boys had never been observed by any school staff engaging in any sort of display of affection, the principal called Nicholas’s mother Nichole.

According to Nichole, the principal said things like “Did you know your son is gay?” repeatedly and went on to say that she didn’t like gay people and wouldn’t tolerate homosexuality at her school.

Both students say they’ve had to deal with verbal harassment from both teachers and students since word got out around the school about their principal’s actions.

“We never bothered anyone or did a single thing at school that broke any of the rules,” said Nicholas, a junior and honor student. “Every day I feel like they’re still punishing me, and I’m worried that this is going to hurt my chances to get into a good college.”

There is always, a bit of hope

Bitch Slap

I am proud to say, that if it is something that require attention, I will [in some cases] give you a bitch slap right in the face [figuratively]. Sometimes people need a bit of reality to take their heads out of their… self centered narcissistic views. I am glad that I have been slapped a number of times by a select few. I wrote a little poem, and posted some slaps. Although the poem may be a bit crude, it is the truth of todays world. And hey, maybe one day, when I am long gone and RashidVille only remains in the internet archive, my poem will be published as a work of crap of true meaning.

we all hate
we are all different
each and every one
unique yet the same
we dislike the unique, yet dislike the same
to create a great community
that is why
but we all hate
it matters not we are the same
it matters not we are unique
that is why we hate

we cannot realize
our insignificant lives
why must they hurt me
they beat me with their actions
they beat me with their visions
they beat me with their sounds
why must they hurt me
they cannot realize
our insignificant lives

take the music from your mind
you will soon become the august rush
through great emotion and jury
a great triumph you will emerge
to create the great community
so what we are not all apart
full of hatred, full of guile,
my time has already passed
take the music from your mind
and you will soon become an august rush

and soon we realize our insignificant lives
we become an august rush
not to buy
but to live
each and every day
within the great community
humanity dust realize the reason why
to eat and sleep, to love and cherish
not to hate, nor to pray
but to share within the great community
our insignificant lives

These first four slaps belogn to slap upside the head while the last one is from, of course, my favourite gay blogger Montreal Simon.

Journalism Slap

The Canadian National is prominently featuring an article that calls AIDS the result of a CIA eugenics conspiracy. The author, Alan Cantwell, says that the government designed HIV and purposefully introduced it into the gay community under the guise of hepatitis B vaccinations in the late 1970s.

Russian Slap

Christian and Muslim groups in Russia are demanding the shutdown of 2X2, a cartoon television network, because it airs programs that “promote homosexuality.”

Canadian Slap

Troubling news from Malaysia, as Canada’s latest gay deportee is now being sought by police in his home country.

 Visitor Slap

It’s not well-known that the United States refuses to allow HIV-positive travelers to enter the country, even for a vacation.

A Slap from the Heart

But of course gays and lesbians in Zimbabwe have been suffering for a long time. Persecuted and jailed. Punished for just holding hands. While the corrupt and crazy dictator whipped up hatred against them.

The gay holocaust

Homosexuality has been taboo ever since the rise of Christianity and Islam. We have been prosecuted, beaten, killed, threatened, and tortured for thousands of years. This is our holocaust. You might as well just round us up in concentration camps like the Jews, but oh wait, they already do that [in a manner] in some countries. Remember when Canada turned back Jewish refuge ships? Canada kicks out homosexual refugees too, only to be returned to their country and killed. It was not right then, and it is not right now. It is time to put an end to our holocaust.
